Intermediate Civil Project Engineer -  Montreal (Permanent Position)

Requirements

 Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical or Materials Engineering; Masters degree in a related field is an asset; 1 to 5 years of relevant local experience; Professional Engineering designation is required; Excellent French communication skills (oral and written); Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite); Excellent business development skills; Attention to detail and well organized; Independent and proven track of initiative. 

Job Description

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing construction projects (quality control materials) of major projects for the City of Quebec and the Ministry of Transportation of Quebec for construction and rehabilitation projects (roads, structures, transport infrastructures, industrial buildings); monitoring geotechnical projects during construction of deep foundations and retaining walls, expertise on the quality of concrete and building materials such as steel, membranes, bituminous, stone crushed, etc. Preparing reports and proposals; approving materials, dosages and shop drawings; supervising technical staff; monitoring  laboratory tests; reading and interpreting data; providing recommendations and managing budgets.
